This is just a few of them…
What is Office Showdown, and who can participate?
Office Showdown is a corporate esports league for Ireland-based companies, where employees can compete in popular games like League of Legends, Valorant, Counter Strike 2, and Rocket League. Teams must be composed of five players from the same organisation, and all skill levels are welcome to join—whether you’re a casual gamer or a competitive enthusiast!
What are the benefits of participating?
Participants benefit from unique networking opportunities, team-building experiences, and the chance to represent their company on a new, exciting stage. Additionally, Office Showdown supports PlayAid’s mission of enhancing men’s mental health through the power of play, so by joining, you’re also contributing to a meaningful cause.
How do I register my team for Office Showdown?
Registering is simple. Just visit here www.officeshowdown.com/register and sign up your team. For more details or assistance, you can reach out to us at [email protected].
Who organises Office Showdown, and what is PlayAid’s role?
Office Showdown is a product of Nativz Gaming, a leader in Irish esports and innovative event management. PlayAid, our purpose partner, is an international non-profit organiSation using play to support mental health for all gamers. Together, we bring a unique mix of competitive spirit and purpose to Office Showdown, creating a positive impact within and beyond the gaming community.
What is the format of the tournaments?
Office Showdown hosts two annual tournaments, one in Spring (April to May) and one in Winter (October to November). Each tournament spans 6 weeks with games scheduled every weeks, culminating in an in-person LAN finals event. This format allows teams to build camaraderie and improve their gameplay while working around busy schedules.
What equipment or setup is required to participate?
All you need is a team of five and access to basic gaming equipment. For the in-person finals, we’ll provide a professional LAN setup for optimal performance. Teams can play from the comfort of their own setups for online matches, but for the best experience, we recommend a reliable gaming PC, headset, and stable internet connection.
