League of Legends
Match Rules

1 Tiebreakers

Tiebreakers are sorted automatically by Nemesis and are computed using score difference and game time.

2 Punctuality

Players must arrive in the pregame lobby no later than 5 minutes after their scheduled match start time. If a team does not have all five players in the pregame lobby within 5 minutes, the team will lose one ban for every 5 minutes they are late (e.g., 5 minutes late = -1 ban, 10 minutes = -2 bans). If a team is not ready by 15 minutes past the start time, they forfeit the series.

3 Placeholder Picks

Placeholder picks are prohibited. Teams must use DraftLOL for all Office Showdown matches. Teams should notify the production team of streamed matches and provide the DraftLOL link.

4 Accidental Picks

  1. If a team picks the wrong champion, causing a delay, they will lose one ban in the next game of the series.

  2. If this happens in the last game of the series, the team will lose 5 minutes of their pause time for each remade draft.

5 Pauses

  1. Teams may pause using the "/pause" command for technical difficulties.

  2. Each team is allowed 15 minutes of total pause time per game.

  3. A member of the pausing team must inform the admin of the reason and duration of the pause.

  4. If a team exhausts its pause time, it must unpause and continue the game or forfeit.

5 Side Selection

Group Stages:

  • The team on the left is blue for Game 1; the team on the right is blue for Game 2.

Knockout Stages (Seeded):

  • The higher seed gets side choice in Game 1.

  • The loser of the previous game chooses the side for subsequent games.

Knockout Stages (Unseeded) and Tiebreakers:

  • A coin flip determines side choice for Game 1.

  • The loser of the previous game chooses the side for subsequent games.

6 Game Setup

  1. All games are set to 5v5 Tournament Draft on Summoner’s Rift using codes generated by Challengermode.
  2. If Challengermode codes fail, teams may create their own lobby.
  3. Screenshots of all games must be submitted to admins if a custom lobby is used.

7 New and Reworked Champions

  1. New or significantly reworked champions are ineligible for 2 weeks after release.
  2. For clarification on what constitutes a "significant rework," contact the League of Legends tournament admin.

8 Fearless Draft (Finals Only)

  1. Finals use a hard fearless draft format, where champions picked in previous final matches cannot be picked again by either team.
