Week 1 is in the books—and while we’re calling it a warm-up week, it did exactly what we needed it to do: got games played, tested the tech, and gave us a clear picture of what needs tightening before the action really ramps up.

🔥 What Went Down This Week (Warm-Up Style)

  • Rocket League got us off the mark with a clean Monday night matchup

  • League of Legends and Valorant both saw solid showings (with a few lobby creation hiccups we’ve now solved)

  • Counter-Strike 2 brought the heat with a comeback to be for the records while also highlighting where we need to simplify comms for new teams

A few things tripped people up (mostly platform stuff like Challengermode + Discord), but hey—that’s why we trialled it.

Shoutout to the captains and players who rolled with it 💪

🧠 What We Learned

  • We’ve now got a much better sense of which titles are ready to scale for full competition

  • Our production and casting team got their reps in (with more polish coming each week)

  • We need to keep onboarding late teams, so flexibility is key

  • Swapping Valorant to Tuesday and League to Wednesday should open the door for more matches and teams next week
