Week 4 is complete and we’re getting closer to our finals week! This week we saw a few disruptions due to availability and the public holiday but it didn’t stop the Office Showdown action from pumping out each day. 🙌

It's a way to reintegrate and retain the countless alumni that have played in our tournaments aimed at collegiate-level players. Not only that, it further legitimises esports across the nation, providing an easy-to-understand and player-friendly environment for employees across all levels at a company to see what esports in Ireland is really all about. This pilot has built the foundations on which our future Winter and Spring tournaments can grow from, and I'm immensely excited to see where it leads.”

🔥 What Went Down This Week?
Rocket League saw a repeat of history, in which Dogpatch Labs took charge over Logitech G with a 3-0 win - watch here.
League of Legends brought us a match up between the Mixed Alumni and Logitech G, it was a fiesta but the Alumni managed to close out the victory after 30 minutes of play - watch here.
Valorant hit hard with a tight match between Nativz Gaming and Logitech G, in the end the Nativz Gaming crew managed to take it 13-7 - watch here.
Counter-Strike 2 came with some broadcast issues, unfortunately we couldn’t put up a stream but the games went ahead in which Logitech G fell at the hands of the NI Health Service.

🧠 This Weeks Learnings…
Public holidays can cause us problems, with Monday’s bank holiday we saw limited availability from both players and staff leading to a delayed start to the games. Planning around this in the future will allow us to be better prepared to deal with the attendance issues by preparing more substitutes and back up production staff.
